WHY CREATE Giclée Reproductions?
|
 |
| |
| Giclée reproductions
allow you to raise the price of your original artwork to their full market
value. Making money on the Giclées
allows you to hold out for the best price on your originals. |
|
| Giclées provide you
with additional product marketing price points.
For example, if your original art sells for
$1400, you could raise your original to $2400 and sell a 22x30
Giclee reproduction of your original for $350. You can also market
an 11x15 half scale reproduction for just $75.
This gives you three price
points and makes your work accessible to a wider range of art
buyers. Therefore, if someone likes your work but can't afford $2400
they can pay $350 for a quality Giclée reproduction or $75 for a
smaller version.
Now anyone who
appreciates your work can afford something of your talent.
|
|
| Giclées are very cost
effective, since you can create just a few at a time
(versus offset printing in hundreds of
quantities). |
|
| Giclées allow you to
generate a significant added revenue from your initial labor with
very little additional cost.
If
you create a limited edition print of one hundred pieces, over time
this will produce $35,000 (100 reproductions x $350 each). Not bad,
considering once the original is sold you have to paint another
before you see any income at all. |
